Game desk. Indian star shuttler PV Sindhu reached the third round of the WBF World Championship. Two-time silver medalist Sindhu defeated Chinese Taipei's Pai Yu Po 21-14, 21-14 in the second round. The match between the two lasted 43 minutes. Fifth seed Sindhu got a bye in the first round. She reached the final of Indonesia Open last month.

In the first game, both players were at a level of 5-5, after which Sindhu took an 11-7 lead at the break. After the break, Sindhu did not give any chance to Pai Yu and won the game 21-14. In the second game, Sindhu was ahead 6–1, but after that Pei took a 7-5 lead. Pei was 11–10 ahead until the break.

After the break in the second game, Meghna and PS Ram lost , Sindhu took full advantage of her experience to lead 19-14 and then took the game from 21-15. On the other hand, India's doubles in women's doubles. The pair of Meghna and PS Ram suffered defeat. Both were beaten by eighth seeded Shiho Tanaka and Koharu Yonemoto of Japan 21-8, 21-18.
